Of course, you will have to put some manual labor into actually working on your windshield which means that you risk damaging it further if you make a mistake during the repairing process. However, you do not spend a lot of money and you will also result in a brand new looking windshield. The windshield in itself will not be brand new but it will once again look brand new.
